About Helena Fone
Helena Fone is a Psychotherapist, Hypnotherapist, EFT
Trainer, Reiki Master, Trainer of Mindfulness in
Education. She has over 18years experience in the field
of emotional health. She works ethically and
professionally and teaches her students the same
principals. She believes that If there is faith and trust in
a person's empathy, skill and knowledge, so much more
can be achieved in terms of healing and education.
In 2008 she wrote the bestselling book 'EFT For Dummies' which has been
translated into 3 other languages.
As Chair of a professional body for EFT she was the first to introduce
standards of training and practice within its Emotional Freedom Techniques
(EFT) and first registered the association as a charitable organisation. Once
the association was fully operative, she stepped down as Chair after 5 years
to focus on her own training school (the EFT & Mindfulness Centre) and
operate it in the same ethical and professional manner.
In 2016 she began working on schools programmes and developed the EFT in
Education and Mindfulness in Education programmes.
She believes in continuous professional education and engaging in regular
supervision. "We don't always know what we don't know!"
About the EFT and Mindfulness Centre
The EFT and Mindfulness Centre has merged with the EFT Register (Est. 2008),
making then bigger and stronger! They are a recognised professional body
and are not aligned with any college or awarding body. Their mission is to
uphold values such as honesty, transparency, support and integrity. They
have worked hard to become a respectable and professional training
company by introducing high standards of training and ongoing assessment.
They offer certified and accredited training in Emotional Freedom Techniques
and Mindfulness (MBCT). They have risen to the demands by the public who
are seeking a simple and affordable way to becoming certified and accredited
whilst upholding high standards. Their trainers are highly skilled and have
worked within the NHS, Education, Prisons, NGOs, and Support Groups.
With over 16 years’ solid experience in the field, they are supported and
endorsed by reputable organisations who value their ethos. They are
recognised by the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT),
the National Council for Psychotherapists (NCP) and the General Regulatory
Council for Complementary Therapies (GRCCT).
As an independent body, they can therefore accept appropriately qualified
and verified EFT and Mindfulness Practitioners and Trainers, equally and
fairly. They exist to maintain high standards and are formally committed to
aligning their EFT training with NOS (National Occupational Standards).
Occupational Standards are a requirement for any therapy to be accepted
within mainstream medicine. [ OS statements describe what an individual
needs to be able to do, know and understand in order to achieve best
practice.] These standards are widely accepted across a broad range of health
care and complementary disciplines worldwide. These Standards are a

Key2 Empowerment are proud to be associated with Helena and regard her as
the one of the major influences in the development and promotion of EFT in
the UK and beyond.
Whilst there is no ‘governing body’ for EFT, Key2 Empowerment recommends
that all of its graduates seek accreditation with the EFT & Mindfulness Centre.
